Orthopaedic Surgeons Achieve Highly Regarded Certification in Sports Medicine

(March 26, 2009 - Daphne, Alabama) Fellowship-Trained Orthopaedic Surgeons Dr. John Todd and Dr. Drew Corbett of The Center for Sports Medicine at Baldwin Bone & Joint, P.C., are proud to announce their recent Subspecialty Certification in the field of Sports Medicine. The certification means they have achieved a level of proficiency in each of the areas comprising orthopaedic sports medicine as prescribed by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.

In order to qualify to sit for the Sports Medicine Certification Examination, physicians must be Board Certified in Orthopaedic Surgery and must submit for review a summary of all sports medicine cases treated over the course of a year, both surgical and non-surgical. After Board approval, the physician must then pass a written Board Certification examination to receive Sports Medicine Subspecialty Certification.

Drs. Todd and Corbett are the only Sports Medicine Fellowship-Trained Orthopaedic Surgeons in Baldwin County to receive this Sports Medicine Subspecialty Certification.
