BALDWIN BONE AND JOINT EXPANDS ORTHOPAEDIC PRACTICE LOCATIONS TO INCLUDE FAIRHOPE

Daphne, AL (February 1, 2024) – Baldwin Bone & Joint is pleased to announce that the practice is opening an additional office location in Fairhope, AL. Since 1989, Baldwin Bone & Joint has provided expert orthopaedic care to patients of all ages and conditions. As fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeons and experienced clinicians, they are recognized leaders in the field of orthopaedics, providing the most current treatment available.

With 20 licensed medical providers on staff, Baldwin Bone & Joint is the largest privately-owned orthopaedic specialty practice in Baldwin County. Office locations include Daphne, Bay Minette, Foley, Atmore, and most recently, Fairhope, AL. Specialized clinics available are The Spine Institute at Baldwin Bone & Joint, The Center for Sports Medicine, The Shoulder Center at Baldwin Bone & Joint and The Osteo Health Clinic.

Beginning in February 2024, Dr. Keith Spain, a fellowship-trained non-surgical sports medicine specialist, will be available for patient care at the new Fairhope location at 770 Middle Street.

A native of Mobile, AL, Spain is a graduate of Tulane University in New Orleans, La., and attended the University of South Alabama Medical School in Mobile, AL. He completed his family medicine residency at Halifax Medical Center in Daytona Beach, FL. Following residency, Spain practiced emergency medicine before completing a fellowship in sports medicine at the University of South Florida-Morton Plant Mease in Clearwater, FL. Through his training and clinical practices, he has served as a team physician for several high schools, colleges, community events, and professional sports teams. He currently serves as team physician for Foley High School and is the Medical Director for the 2024 Azalea Trail Run.

Spain is board-certified in Family Medicine and holds a certificate of added qualification in sports medicine. His specialty is the non-surgical treatment of orthopaedic injuries and medical conditions in athletes of all ages and abilities. He has a particular interest in diagnostic and interventional musculoskeletal ultrasound, minimally invasive procedures, and regenerative medicine. Spain is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, and the current President of the Baldwin County Medical Society.

Spain has additional specialty training in minimally invasive and ultrasound-guided procedures, orthobiological regenerative medicine, and the innovative Tenex Health procedure for chronic tendinopathy. Taking a non-surgical approach, Spain helps patients dealing with everything from arthritis, tendinitis, and fractures, to sports-related concussions and other medical and musculoskeletal ailments.
